Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island

Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (MHRPS) is making a real difference for individuals navigating the often-challenging journey from hospital care back to everyday life. Their Bridge Program aligns closely with the work of the Archie Courtnall Centre, supporting people as they transition safely and confidently back into the community.

At the heart of this program is their Transitional Discharge Model, which pairs patients with trained peer supporters—individuals with lived experience—who connect with them while still in hospital and continue providing regular support after discharge. This continuity helps ease the transition, reduce isolation, and foster hope during a vulnerable time.

Beyond this vital program, MHRPS offers a wide range of mental health services, including counselling, peer support, family support, and other recovery-focused programs. Each initiative is designed to empower individuals, nurture ongoing recovery, and create meaningful connections within the community.

We are proud to support Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island as one of our 2025 grant recipients and to stand alongside an organization that helps people reclaim their independence, build resilience, and sustain hope on their recovery journey.
